So, youre now playing with a guy named Jaromir Jagr, whos basically a legend. Whats something youve learned about Jaromir that you didnt know about him before? JT: Well, hes definitely a special human being to still be playing at his age. Also, his commitment towards the game, hes a guy that takes nothing for granted. You just watch him in the dressing room and everything is so precise and to the point. And for him to really show that to the younger guys, how you cant take anything for granted, because it really is a privilege to play in the NHL. DB: Favourite thing to do in the offseason that helps you relax and get away from hockey for a bit? JT: I love hunting and fishing. Anytime I go up to Nunavut I spend a lot of time out on the land, where its nice and peaceful. And you get to reminisce about a lot of stories over the years with my family and my friends. Did you notice his amazing laugh in that moment or was it not until you watched the video afterwords? JT: Yeah you know that definitely wasnt set up, I just happened to see the kid when I was coming off the ice and it was just a spur of the moment thing. But I actually didnt realize how excited he was until I saw the video. I was a kid once too and to make a lasting memory for a kid is a pretty special feeling. JT: You know what, Im actually pretty easy going. I like all types of music, but classic rock is always a good thing. DB: Lets talk a little bit about your book All The Way, whats something you hope the reader takes away from it after reading this book? JT: Well, I wrote this book to help me heal as a person. Im only 31-years old, but Ive been through a lot and I just want people to understand that its okay to be open and honest and not be afraid to talk because theres always someone out there whos willing to listen. The more you hold things in, the more depressed you get and thats when a lot of people dont see light at the end of the tunnel.
